We’ve all heard of attractions like Bondi Beach and The Great Barrier Reef, but within those towns there are other attractions that are also worth the hype. Below are 3 towns with attractions that have become overshadowed that must be visited with your family.
Bryon Bay
The beautiful beaches of Bryon Bay are iconic, but have you heard of the perfect swim spot at Belongil Beach? At the point of Belongil Beach lies rock pools the size of a hotel spa and houses awesome rock formations. Belongil Beach is always calm, which makes these rock pools so fantastic to chill out in.To get to these beach spas, arrive at Belongil Beach and head north all the way to the point to find this hidden gem!
The Great Barrier Reef
Stemming across four towns in far north Queensland is The Great Barrier Reef. Labeled as one the seven natural wonders and arguably Australia’s most iconic location, it can often overshadow other stunning locations surrounding it. Mackay is one of the four towns and deserves recognition for its incredible attractions. Mackay Regional Botanic Gardens are perfect for a day out with kids, with eye catching scenery and cafes with mouth watering food. Don’t just drive by Mackay, go for a day out there and I guarantee you’ll love it!
Bondi Beach
This popular town has it’s attractions overshadowed by it’s famous beach, Bondi. The Bondi Markets are more than worth the hype and are a must visit. These trendy stores are perfect for supporting local businesses, finding vintage items and of course quality food! Located at Bondi Beach Public School, it is open from 9:00 am-4:00pm on Sundays.
If you’re ever visiting one of these iconic places, be sure to check out the whole town, not just the main attraction!
