Celebrate nature’s splendour at the Great Southern Treasures Bloom Festival

In partnership with Australia’s South West

As the winter frost thaws and spring breathes new life into the world, there’s no better way to welcome the season than by immersing oneself in the beauty of nature. And for nature enthusiasts and flower lovers alike, the Great Southern Treasures Bloom Festival is an event that promises to captivate the senses.

The Bloom Festival, held annually during spring, showcases the breathtaking beauty of the Great Southern region of Western Australia with an array of events to entice and engage visitors. With 55 events scheduled to take place over six weeks for this year’s festival, attendees will be spoiled for choice. Guided wildflower tours will offer insights into the region’s rich floral heritage. Workshops will provide hands-on learning experiences, teaching participants the art of flower arrangement and horticultural techniques. For those seeking inspiration, photography competitions and art exhibitions will showcase the beauty of the blooms in stunning visual displays.

Kicking off on 23 September in Katanning for a free family festival – the Bloom Eco Fair – the festival is not just for seasoned gardeners and flower enthusiasts; it’s an event that caters to the entire family. Children can enjoy activities, such as circus workshops, performances and movie nights, while market stalls offering local delicacies and live music performances will further enhance the festive atmosphere.

The spring celebration promises to be an extraordinary experience for visitors of all ages. Whether you are an avid gardener, an art enthusiast, or simply someone who revels in the beauty of nature, this festival is a must-attend event. So, mark your calendars each September to October, and get ready to immerse yourself in the captivating world of blooms and natural wonders this spring!

The Bloom Festival opens 23 September at Piesse Park in Katanning, and will continue on with another 55 events taking place around the Great Southern region until 31 October.
