Staying connected to family, friends and workplaces while on the road is easier than you might think.
One of the best things about life on the road in 2022 is that you no longer need to choose between travelling our beautiful country and staying connected with home. With a bit of planning and a couple of gadgets, you can have the best of both worlds.
The first step to ensuring that you stay connected on the road is choosing an internet and wi-fi set-up that is right for you. There is a range of options available, so there’s a solution to meet anyone’s needs – whether it’s just you and your phone, an entire family or a full remote-work set-up that is required.
There are a few different ways that you can ensure you’ll always have access to quality, speedy internet when on the road. If making do with caravan park wi-fi, and finding local cafes and libraries with free wi-fi isn’t for you, then you can look into other options such as internet dongles (which plug directly into your laptop). Alternatively, you could upgrade your phone plan to include more data and hotspot from your phone. These are both great options that will provide you with a strong internet connection; however, these are limited to use when the devices have service, and in regional areas of Australia this could be an issue. These options may also present an issue for families that will need to have multiple devices connected to the internet at one time.
Another option is to purchase a portable wi-fi router, which will also rely on access to a network, but will provide a more reliable connection in more places. There are loads of different plans available with prepaid and post-paid options, so you can choose the right plan for you and your family.
