Rest, rejuvenation and relaxation in New South Wales

Give yourself a well-earned break from the everyday grind – New South Wales is filled with experiences to feed your mind, soul and body. Not only are there world-class eateries, spas, gym classes and markets, but New South Wales boasts incredible landscapes that will revive any tired bones. Here are some of Caravanning Australia’s recommendations for where to go if you’re needing a reset:

Beaches and bliss in Byron Bay

Start your morning with a brisk dip into the ocean, if you can handle the chill – it’ll boost energy levels, clear your mind and get your metabolism going. Join Beachfront Yoga’s First Light Club after you towel off, and get your body moving while the sun is rising. This exercise is sure to get your appetite roaring and in Byron, you have options galore. We recommend heading to The Farm, which is spread out over 80 acres of lane with lots of animals that will come up and say hello. Head to the Three Blue Ducks for a picnic hamper of locally sourced cheese, fruit, dips and charcuterie – or try their seasonally inspired menu. If you want to finish off the day with some relaxation, unwind in the Osprey Spa – there are full body exfoliations, hot stone back massages and jade crystal treatments (to name a few).

A day of restoration in the Snowy Mountains

Explore towering peaks and incredible landscapes in this iconic region. Pick cherries, apples and chestnuts off the tree in Wilgro Orchards in Batlow – the orchard also offers fresh, spiced apple juice or warm apple pies. After munching on fresh fruit, take your pick from a wealth of activities: mountain biking, fly fishing, hiking trails and horse riding. If you opt for hiking, try out the Ramshead Range for spectacular views of alpine country – nature is one of the most healing landscapes out there. Rest your head in a beautiful eco hut at Kimo Estate, which is the perfect place to wake up and be greeted by phenomenal views of the Murrumbidgee River flats.
