Life takes on a different pace in the Yarra Valley, Victoria’s premier wine region. Here you can indulge in Victoria’s finest drops in some of the state’s best wineries and restaurants. There are plenty of options on how to explore the region, with numerous wine tours available.
The Murray River region is a favourite holiday destination with Victorians, and for good reason! Along the river that forms the border between Victoria and New South Wales, there are countless towns – like Mildura, Echuca and Wodonga – that are perfect getaways from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Alpine National Park
This is the largest national park in Victoria, so it’s no surprise that is home to some of the best hikes in the state and, during the winter months, offers skiing opportunities like nowhere else. Be sure to pack your walking shoes, because there are endless trails and hikes in the national park that vary in difficulty.
Phillip Island is home to some truly extraordinary (and cute!) wildlife and there’s plenty of opportunities to experience this nature up close. Pay a visit to the Koala Conservation Reserve and immerse yourself in a treetop walk among the sleepy creatures. Of course, a trip to Phillip Island wouldn’t be complete without heading to the beach to see little penguins in their natural habitat!
